A good way to find out about the energy efficiency of your building is to have an Energy Performance Assessment carried out. In fact if you are looking to install solar PV then you will need to have a D rating to claim the higher Feed in Tariff rate.
Caplor Energy has introduced a great scheme offering free energy assessments and free energy saving measures for homeowners keen to install a domestic solar photovoltaic (PV) system on their house. All new solar PV installations are required to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) carried out on the property. If your home’s EPC does not reach Level D, then Caplor Energy will arrange for free loft and cavity insulation where these measures would ensure your property reaches Level D.
