Caplor Energy really owes it’s existence to various projects undertaken by Caplor Farm in its move to find ways of working more sustainably. Farming is an energy intensive business and we wanted to explore the practicalities of the various alternate technologies. On this page you’ll find videos of Gareth Williams talking about some of this. First he talks about the extremely successful PV panels he had installed. They were so successful that he’s dramatically increased the number of panels since this video was made.
Here he talks about the Solar Hot water system that supplies Caplor residents with hot water. In the summer it can be really hot!
And finally he talks about Caplor’s wind turbine. A heroic endeavour, but not by any means a success story – could this be why Caplor Energy hasn’t ventured into the wind turbine business????
