The Solar Calculator will give you a good idea of how much energy you’re likely to generate from your own installation, but there’s nothing to beat learning from other peoples’ experience. Caplor Energy asks it’s customers to let them know just how much they’re really generating, on a month to month basis.
We enter everybody who takes part into a monthly draw for a book, bottle of wine, CD or whatever and this has produced some very interesting results. So far about 30 of our customers are taking part on a regular basis and you can see their figures here. What’s particularly interesting to us is that on average our customers seem to be generating more than 10% more than the predicted figures.
