Community

Our Community Solar Initiative was launched in February of 2012 and since then has received positive responses from many community groups around Herefordshire.
We allocated nearly £100,000 for village halls and schools to build solar projects within Herefordshire and Worcestershire in order for them to install Solar PV systems with no up front cost.

Trallong community HallCaplor Energy’s vision is to contribute towards creating a vibrant and sustainable community. That’s why we’re focussed on supporting local projects that benefit the people and communities where we are based.

Solar PV systems for communal buildings such as schools, village halls and churches can add real and tangible benefits for a local community. It can help reduce the costs of running community projects and provides a regular income over 25 years through the Feed-in Tariff. Just as importantly it creates a visual statement of social and environmental responsibility to local people. Caplor Energy have experience in working closely with community committees so we can clearly and precisely demonstrate what solar PV could offer your community project. We’re also happy to come and speak to community groups about renewable energy and sustainability more widely.

Have a look at our solar PV calculator to work the payback of a solar PV system. The Solar Calculator will help you find out how much you could earn and save through solar electricity panels, using the Feed in Tariff scheme.  For more information or to arrage a site survey contact us or call 01432 860644 to speak to a member of the team.

Trallong Church Hall were aware of the benefits solar could provide and were looking to bring that stability to the hall for the next 25 years, it was a far better option for the electrical heating system than an oil fired boiler would be.

Peter Thole told us, “we are very pleased with how neat and well integrated the system is, and I am personally delighted with the hall installation and also with the install on my own property”.
