Solar Installer

Location: Fownhope, Herefordshire, HR1 4PT.

Main Objectives

We presently have a vacancy for an installer to join our team in Herefordshire. We are looking for a positive and motivated individual. The job offers plenty of opportunity for the right individual to grow in the role and create a successful career for themselves.

Duties and responsibilities include

•   Participate in the installation of solar hot water and PV systems with a team. Your role will centre on fixing panels to the roof and pipe/cable runs.
•   Liaise with a range of clients during project delivery.
•   Assist with organising project logistics.
•   Assist with the maintenance of existing solar systems (under direction).
•   Actively look for ways to assist colleagues

Person Specification

Desirable
•   Practical experience of roofing and general building works
•   Working at Heights training
•   Good communication skills.
•   Proven ability to work in a team.
•   Problem solving skills.
•   Ability to manage your own time effectively.
•   NVQ level 2 qualification
•   Knowledge of solar thermal and solar electric systems
•   Some plumbing and electrical skills
•   Good experience with roofs

Essential

•   Able to work a range of hours with very occasional overnight stays
•   Enthusiasm for renewable energies
•   Full clean driving licence.
