On Sunday 8th May we were delighted to take the Caplor Roadshow to the British Driving Society (BDS) Spring Carriage Show at Hampton Court near Leominster. The event featured an array of beautiful horse drawn carriages dating back over 100 years. The drivers were adorned with period clothing and are required to abide by a strict etiquette in order to gain more points from the judges.
The sun managed to shine for brief interludes and though the weather kept some people away, we had a steady stream of interest throughout the day. We also managed to provide some welcome cover for a few people during one of the heavier downpours. At the close of the day when hitching up the trailer to the Shogun, it did cross my mind whether a few horses might have been a more appropriate method of pulling our stylish carriage!!
