Caplor is an established business based in rural Herefordshire (West Midlands). Gareth Williams (owner) and team members are genuinely focussed on making a positive impact in terms of people, planet and profit.
The team have gone the extra mile here in the county, regionally and internationally. Our award winning family business has operated from Caplor Farm, Fownhope since 1923 and has a rich history. First being run by Gareth’s grandfather, then by his father, mother and now by the Caplor team.
Throughout each strand of the business (agriculture, property rentals and renewable energy) a commitment toward achieving a sustainable future which not only benefits but involves the local and wider community has been demonstrated. Rather than focusing merely on profitability, we advocate the more sustainable approach of “triple bottom-line accounting“, with a keen awareness of social, environmental and economic issues. Gareth explains why here feels that all businesses should operate with this ethos in this short five minute video.
Wherever possible we wish to work in partnership with others so that we can build an exemplar business that is inclusive and open. We wish to develop, diversify and positively contribute towards enhancing a sustainable community.
Inspired Sustainable Improvement
Currently, we farm approx. 500 acres of combinable crops and grass for our Pedigree Hereford cattle.
Caplor Energy We are proud to have developed a renewable energy installation business which supplies and designs green energy systems – such as solar PV / thermal, biomass and heat pumps – for businesses, homes and communities.
Strong Corporate Social Responsibility commitments are maintained and reviewed each year across the Caplor Group.
